I’m Sherlyn, a UX designer based in Taiwan with 3+ years in visual and brand design, across both agency and in-house environments. My graphic design background taught me to think in systems: hierarchy, consistency, visual logic, and I bring that same sensibility into UX work.
For my Master’s dissertation in 2023, I investigated whether AI genuinely changes the graphic design process by designing a brand identity twice, once through traditional methods and once using AI tools exclusively, and interviewing four practicing designers with brand identity experience to gather professional perspectives. Analysing and comparing the results sharpened my ability to build empathy, synthesise insights, and identify what information actually matters, those skills that sit at the core of UX research.
